This two-some obviously did not know the cart rule when they snuck out on the course this past Friday. Damage to the course was minimal. Hopefully they made it home safely.

Mother Nature Assists to Soften Course Slope Rating
The strong winds that moved through the Charlotte area yesterday created much havoc with regards to downed trees and power lines. These pictures show the worst of what the course experienced. Fortunately for all golfers, hole 13 should now be a little more forgiving with less obstacles in the middle of fairway. Other debris cleanup will continue over next couple days. Weekend looks good for golf with clear forecast.

February Cold Spell
This picture taken three years ago on February 19. Much more than the flurries we saw today. Just a reminder that winter is not quite over. The weekend is going to be cold, but the course will be open by 1:00 each day. Just enough time to get in eighteen before dark. Please check in with golf shop for exact opening times. Next weekend looks much better with temps forecasted in the 60's. Spring is just around the corner.

Opening Up the View
Over the past month, the Golf Course Maintenance staff has been clearing several locations adjacent to teeing areas throughout the course. Here are few shots of the largest area along #10. Much better view of the landing area and rocks now. Come on out to the course this weekend and check out the difference. The weather is supposed to be nice.
